Top five fundamental elements of innovation in organizations

In order to be able to innovate, a company must posses basic knowledge that would facilitate the creation process. Innovation process itself can’t be achieved if the organization who wants to innovate doesn’t set up five mechanisms that help implement generated ideas.

 Generating and implementing new ideas

This mechanism is the base of the whole innovation process and it means the assurance of an environment that allows new ideas to be born and that assures a continuous and coherent flow. The selection process of the best employees and the constant improval of their creativity turn this  mechanism into a successful one. For this to become possible, the organization must provide some required instruments such as techniques of generating ideas, group projects or the promotion of employees collaborating.

There are plenty of situations when a company chooses to establish relations of collaboration with external people to help with generating ideas. The process is called Crowdsourcing and companies all over the world have started to adopt it.

Setting a strategic plan for the innovation process

This mechanism turns out to be of paramount importance, offering employees involved in it a clear vision on the organization’s priorities. The strategic plan is advantageous when the company has a good business model that raises its level of competitivity on the market.

Measuring the quality of the innovation process

This process can be fulfilled by adopting a more systematic plan on innovation. Systematization requires analyzing the quantitative and qualitative elements, and if it fails, implementation of new ideas will be postponed.

Neuronal anchor

The number four element of innovation implementation is more people oriented, focused on awareness and communication. These processes should always exist in companies and organizations, in order to stimulate the innovative ideas of employees, and for them to be more anchored in the tasks they work on.

Innovation is strongly linked to the positive feelings, and the commitment to emotional engagement in employee’s life gives the best results when it comes to developing the creative process. And so a safe environment is created, where employees work at their leisure. This environment is influenced by the existence of an organizational culture.

The creative process must be stimulated by constant offering of rewards, that don’t particularly mean money. It is recommended that these rewards are based on the needs of making the creative process a much better one.
